AN ORDINANCE OF THE MCKINLEYVILLE COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT AMENDING THE MCSD PARK & RECREATION RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR RECREATION ADVISORY MEMBERSHIP
WHEREAS, The MCSD Board of Directors wishes to modify the number and makeup of members of the Recreation Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, The MCSD wishes to allow eligibility for a student of High School age on the RAC committee; and
WHEREAS, The MCSD proposes to allow one high school student to be a voting member of the RAC, with a second student selected to be an alternate.
NOW THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE MCKINLEYVILLE COMMUNITY SERVICES DISTRICT DOES HEREBY AMEND THE MCSD RULES AND REGULATIONS AS FOLLOWS:
Rule 40.01. MEMBERSHIP. The McKinleyville Community Services District Recreation and Parks Advisory Committee shall consist of nine (9) members who shall serve without compensation; and
Rule 40.01 (c) Six (6) adult members shall be resident electors of the District and the one (1) high school student member (nominated by the McKinleyville High School Principal) shall be a resident of the District and attending McKinleyville High School; representing to the extent possible various recreational interests of the community including but not limited to business, environmental, equestrian, sports, seniors, trails and youth. Recommendations for appointment may be made by the then current members of the committee.
Rule 40.03. MEMBER QUALIFICATIONS. All members, other than the high school member, shall be resident electors of the McKinleyville Community Services District; the student member shall be a resident of the MCSD and a student of the McKinleyville High School.
