The Norton Road 1.5 million gallon water tank was repainted in 2012.
The tank was constructed in 1989 and still had the original paint. The tank had the interior sandblasted to white metal, primed and repainted. The exterior was spot blasted, sanded and a topcoat applied. In order to accomplish this task, the District retained the services of engineering firm Oscar Larson & Associates in Eureka to oversee the completion of the project.
Advanced Industrial Services, a painting contractor out of Paramount California, sandblasted and painted the tank with the work overseen by Bay Area Coatings Consultants.
